Fall Qigong Instructor Training

The dates have been set for our next Qigong Instructor Training! Students from the first round, which began in July, have already begun teaching a weekly class we call, "Community Qigong." Below are some details about the training, and some information about the programs we have in place for continued qigong education.

Instructor training sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:15pm, beginning Monday, November 6th and ending on Wednesday, November 29th. Make up sessions will be available, and I will offer a free lecture with more details about the program on Wednesday evening, November 1st.

In addition to the main training sessions, our Community Qigong class will be offered one additional night every week. These classes are taught by instructors in training, and are provided on a donation basis. These classes are an opportunity for newcomers to practice, and for new instructors to gain experience teaching in a comfortable environment.

Students who attend our Fall Instructor Training will learn to teach the first 2 classes in the 3-Phase Qigong curriculum. You will be given a 2 DVD set that contains video of these two classes, as well as a teaching manual that describes the principles and practices of all 3 classes. In addition to learning how to teach 2 different qigong sequences, you will be provided extensive training for your own personal practice in qigong and meditation.

Perhaps the best part of our qigong program is the ample opportunity you will have for training and activity with a growing community of practitioners and teachers. We plan to eventually offer qigong classes 5-6 days per week at Community Acupuncture + Natural Health, with multiple classes offered each day; and this will mean there will be lots of opportunities for instructors to have regular positions as instructors. We are also organizing celebrations to honor the changing of the seasons around the solstice and equinox. These celebrations will provide a forum to appreciate the gifts that each season offers for the development of our health and energy. In addition, once our regular class schedule is set, we will offer qigong workshops on a variety of topics.

Before the instructor training begins next month, please join me for 2 more Wednesday evening classes; and join our instructors in training for the Community Qigong class on Thursday evenings.

Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions about qigong, or any of the services we offer at Community Acupuncture + Natural Health. You can call us at 541-301-7040, or visit our website, www.affordablenaturalhealth.com.
