In times such as these when people are out of work and struggling to make ends meet, sometimes the last thing on their mind is self-care - even though now is when they likely need care the most.
The struggles of late have also made us a witness to Veterans who are unable to get treatments authorized because of back-logs at the VA.
We have been doing everything we can to make sure that care for our Veterans is not interrupted, but lately that has not always been possible.
In order to address these issues we've created a program at Community Acupuncture and Natural Health where you can donate packages of massage, acupuncture, or private qigong sessions to those who cannot afford them. You can also nominate individuals or families that you believe are in need of care and unable to afford it; or you can request that your donation be given to a Veteran who cannot get care. Individuals can also apply to receive these donated treatments.
These packages are discounted between 18-25% from our regular prices, but our practitioners still receive generous compensation for their time. Our studio collects only a nominal fee to cover reception, linens, use of space, etc.
We sincerely hope that you will donate if you can, as we already have patients we are trying to support through this program.
